For a Skincare Line Is Google Ads the best Strategy

I am a 2 year company trying to stop doing as many in person events to switch to making more product and bringing customers to me. I work a full time day job right now and want to slowly switch into this full-time. It helps if I can spend my free time just packing orders and making product. Would running google ads fit a new skincare line as a great strategy to create this arrangement? If no, can you recommend anything else? FB ad running was horrible and gained me spam on there and even in my email box now! I had no real customers and couldn’t choose to cancel, then they tried to charge me days after the ad was supposed to end but thankfully my cc was expired so it bounced. I absolutely liked nothing of that experience. I have always thought of Google as being more high end… Anything to avoid scammers if they do sometimes also happen?

Hello Traveler, great question, when you said switch to making products, I assume based on this that you create your own skincare products.

Google shopping is a great platform for getting sales, however if you are selling your own products and there is high competition, expect a tough road. It’s pretty hard to advertise nowadays, and because you said you create your own products, you need to also perform brand awareness, which is expensive.

So if you are a brand owner, you must setup multiple different advertising types including the very expensive youtube ads and demand gen ads. These two are great for brandawareness, but again I can’t stress how expensive it is.

If you are tight on budget, and just want to dip your toes in the water, setup standard shopping campaigns only, using an advanced strategy, this way you can control what search terms you show up for, and control your bids. Have a look at: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CiRIDzRrHno

Unfortunately, I don’t know much about Facebook.

Scammers are everywhere, Google does their best to detect scammers, to avoid fake clicks. But as you know nothing is perfect.
