Hi! I launched a collection of ornaments today. I am offering free US shipping if folks purchase two or more ornaments. This has been working fine for ornament-only orders (set up under a unique shipping profile just for ornaments, ex. spend X amount [value of two ornaments] = free shipping). But if a customer adds a different item to their order (ex. two ornaments plus one sticker), they are then charged the regular shipping fee. Is there a way for the ornament shipping profile to “override” the default shipping fee?

If you’re looking for a standard free shipping over a certain dollar amount, you can do this with Discounts. Then create a shipping rate in every shipping profile that is $0 for purchase over x amount. So no matter what products, what shipping profile, it will be free shipping over x amount.

Since Shopify can’t make one shipping profile override another, the simplest fix is to move everything (ornaments, stickers, etc.) into one shipping profile and use a cart-value–based free shipping rule instead of a product-specific one.
Option 1 - Single Profile + Product-Based Condition:
Set a cart condition (price or weight range) that only two ornaments and another item can meet, so free shipping still applies even if another item is added.
Option 2 - Single Profile + Cart-Value Free Shipping:
If two ornaments total around $40, set “Free shipping for orders ≥ $40.” This works for all the items in the cart that reach or exceed the value.
If you need the rule to be strictly product-specific (e.g., free shipping only when exactly two ornaments are in the cart), then Shopify can’t do that natively, but PluginHive’s Multi Carrier Shipping Label app lets you create product-based shipping rules with much more control.
