Fulfillment

Hi! Help, please. We have a supplier for the products, however, we still have stocks left for some of the items in our own warehouse, how can we fulfill the order and add shipping details if we’re going to ship it ourselves because orders are automatically fulfilled by our suppliers?

We can contact the Supplier for a specific item and ask them not to fulfill it on their end so we can ship it ourselves and add tracking details. How can we do that from a specific order though, please? Thanks so much!

  1. In the product page assign inventory to the location you’re fulfilling from (your default or manual fulfillment location)

  2. In the order page, change the location of the fulfillment order to your new location (click the 3 dots in the fulfillment order box).

In some cases, you can’t change the location, this likely means the fulfillment service has not yet migrated to “sku sharing” / multiple locations (some don’t have this, but it will soon be required for all), in that case you might have to contact them about how to change locations.

  1. Fulfill the items and mark fulfilled

For new orders, if your orders are automatically fulfilled by a supplier, you may have to talk with them about that or turn that off. For example, if you have the setting in Shopify fulfillment settings to automatically fulfill orders, turn that off. If instead the supplier has an app or something that automatically requests the fulfillment, turn that off or ask them how to.
