I have a Performance Max campaign running fine. But I want to add some deeper discounts for my product for Black Friday, like buy one get one free. Should I duplicate the product and create a new product page offering this discount and create a new Performance Max campaign? I don’t want to tweak my current campaign, as it may ruin its optimization. Would you recommend creating a new Performance Max Campaign for the discounts and would doing so have any impact on the current campaign?

Duplicating products would be a product violation. Instead I would add a promotion for the same product on the same product landing page that will give the consumer a free one when they buy one. Not sure which app you need to use to make this work, but I am sure there are plenty. I would add the promotion in GMC, which will then automatically show to shopping consumers.
Then, also add the promotion in Google Ads > Assets.
