i am having issues with my data feed from my Shopify store to my Google Merchant Account. I have removed 30/32 products from store, the items have updated in the google side of things on the shopify dashboard.
However when I log into my Google Merchant Account the products are showing as " data unavailable on mobile site" and showing as 404 page error.
the fact is the products were removed from my store weeks ago but I cant for the life of me get them off my data feed for google.
I have spoken with google they say it’s a Shopify issue and shopify say it’s a google issue.
Any help would be great
If your using the Free Shopping app built by Shopify, then the issue is with the app you are using. This app should send a delete request to Google Merchant Center. Based on your screenshot that is not the case. You may want to try disabling automatic updates in Google Merchant Center > gear icon > automatic improvements.
The issue is simply due to how the free app is built.
If you want to keep using automatic updates, which is recommended, then consider using an app that does not have this issue, for example for my clients I use: https://apps.shopify.com/multiple-google-shopping-feeds
The bonus is that you can use a lot more functions and rules within the app compared to the free app.
