Google Merchant In Stock vs Pmax Products Out of Stock

Topic summary

A user running Performance Max (Pmax) campaigns encounters a discrepancy where products display as “Out of Stock” in Google Ads despite showing “In Stock” in both Google Merchant Center and Shopify. They use the Symprosis app to sync product feeds and have attempted resyncing without resolution.

Key Points:

  • The inventory mismatch is causing potential revenue loss from available products being excluded from campaigns
  • One respondent notes that Google Ads inventory data is often delayed and unreliable
  • Recommended troubleshooting: Wait 24 hours after feed changes and recheck, as updates aren’t instantaneous
  • Important distinction: Campaign eligibility and product availability are separate issues that shouldn’t be confused

Status: The issue remains unresolved, with the original poster seeking additional solutions beyond waiting for sync delays.

Hi Community, I have been running Pmax for years now. I just noticed that some products show “Out of Stock” in the campaign; however, it is “In Stock” on Google Merchant and Shopify. I am using an app called Symprosis, which syncs all products to Google Merchant. I am stuck and don’t know how to enable those products that are “In Stock.” I have submitted a resync via Symprosis, etc. I believe I am losing revenue as these products are available. Do you have any solution for this? This is my store: https://thegiftcompany.com.au/

I have never found the Google Ads info to be a reliable source of info.

It is always delayed, so I recommend if the availability just changed, to wait 24 hours and check again.

Be sure not to confuse campaign eligability vs availability as they will be two different things.
