H2 and h3 tags look different on my blog

Hi all,

I post to my blog twice a month, and have just posted the first blog post of January and the titles, though entered exactly the same way in the back end, look completely different to usual both in the editing page, and when the blog is posted.

here’s an example of a blog with titles in posted in December:

All the titles in this post are H2, and look as they always have in my blog posts.

heres the post I just published:

https://andhopedesigns.com/blogs/news/5-places-to-read-in-belfast
“5 places to read in Belfast” (the second one after the actual blog title) is an H2

caffe Nero is an H3.

They look nothing like they usually do. I haven’t touched anything to change is. Is this a known bug or something new on the blog? Any way I can change it back to how it usually looks?

Hello,

This happens because there are some additional HTML elements inside the headings. This usually happens when you copy some text from the web and then directly paste it into your blog post.

As you can see, there is an additional span element that is changing the font-size of the heading:

To fix this, you need to open the blog post in the backend and open the HTML view from this button:

Then, you need to find these extra spans that change the font-size and remove them.

We can help you with this fix if you need it. We’ll just need access to your store. Just let us know if this is the case.

Thanks.

having copied straight from a word document as I always do, I hadn’t thought to check this. Will fix now.

Great, let us know if you were able to fix it or if we need to investigate further.
If all is good, you can click like and mark it as an accepted solution.
