Hi, I recently purchased a new theme and published it but I’ve had to change my theme back to my old theme as none of my templates assigned to the blogs transferred when I published the new theme (now they don’t have any content). The templates must be recreated as the template information is saved directly in the theme files. Is there an app or another way that I can copy them exactly the same from the old theme into the new theme so it doesn’t negatively impact SEO?
Hello,
I am San from MS Web Designer.
First, they need to check whether those(old) templates are in liquid form or json form.
If those(old) templates are in liquid form, they need to create templates in new theme with same name.
Go to Themes > Edit code > Templates > add new template > select template type article and choose liquid > save with same name like old theme > copy all content from old theme to new one theme.
If those(old) templates are in json form, they need to create templates in new theme with same name.
Go to Themes > customize > from dropdown select blog posts > create template with same name > add contents like old theme
Hope this helps.
Do let me know in case of any concerns.
Regards,
San

Hello,
Thank you for your response.
Yes, they need to be added manually.

San
