Hello im really needing some help and I’m stuck on this one.
I have a home page with an OLD tittle that shows up in the browser tittle. I first changed this about 6 months ago, and now again today to something different. But it’s not actually changing when I reload the page.
I Edit it through “Online Store > Preferences. Enter a title and meta description” but when I save it, the very first one I had for over 12 months ago keeps being shown.
Same here! I recently updated to Dawn 13.0.0 and changed it after. Never had any problems before.
It all looks correct in the home page template, preferences and when I view my store from inside shopify. But if I search the www then I get the old version.
Hey, you can change your homepage title from your Shopify admin:
Go to Online Store > Preferences > Homepage Title
Enter title to “NEW TITLE HERE”
Then you will need to wait a few days for Google to crawl and index your webpage again after that Google will show the new title instead of the old one.
If there is anything else I can help you with, please let me know.
Ive tried that a few times now, most recently 3-4 weeks ago. It updates in the Shopify settings, but even now weeks later when I load up the website it still shows the older one. When I use any apps like google analytics, it still shows the old description. Every where else it still shows the old info, not the new one. I’d love to get this fixed.
It’s for www.heybunnyoriginal.com if that helps
I appreciate the additional context that you have provided us. Did you happen to make any custom coding changes to the theme, by any chance? Additionally, could you let us know which theme is being used for the online store?
To also confirm, does it appear when previewing a duplicate copy of the current theme? If so, then I’d encourage you to connect with us directly. This will allow our support team to investigate further, as you are using a vintage theme that’s still supported.
Please let me know if you have any other questions.
