How can an app improve your social media conversion rates?

Hi everyone.

My team and I are trying to create an app for the Shopify app store to help small business owners increase their conversion rates on social media. We would appreciate your feedback on the following questions:

  1. What social media platforms do you currently use to promote your business, and how do you measure the effectiveness of your social media marketing efforts?

  2. What are your biggest challenges when it comes to increasing conversion rates on social media? Are there specific issues that you struggle with?

  3. How do you currently manage your social media marketing efforts? Are you using any third-party tools or apps to help you manage and optimize your social media campaigns?

  4. What features or functionality would you find most useful in an app designed to help you increase your conversion rates on social media? Are there specific pain points or challenges that you would like an app to help you address?

This doesn’t really answer your questions, but personally I avoid 3rd party advertising tools, especially the ones that are in the app store. Unless it is due to lack of knowledge or strictly for convenience I don’t see a purpose in paying for an app that inevitably will have less features built-in and add to overall cost VS directly using the platforms where the ads run. I feel the same way with most email campaign apps.

i.e why should I use your app to run ads on google/fb/insta when it’s highly unlikely your 3rd party app will have as many features or be as cost effective as the actual platform or established companies. I guess for simplicity or if you’re new to ecommerce it may make sense. My advice if you are going to build a social media or advertising type of app is just make sure the features it has actually work well and have great customer support. Many shopify apps to me are only worthwhile because their customer support are so efficient, otherwise I would drop many of them for custom code or other solutions. Good luck!

What features would you want to see a tool offer? Whether on the Shopify app store, or a stand alone SaaS.
