It’s great to see you are interested in learning more about Shopify and hoping to get some tips for starting out - I’d be happy to help!
First of all, have you started your free 14-day trial yet, or are you still in the planning stage right now? You can start a free trial at any time to get started with building your store. You won’t be charged until the free trial runs out, at which time you would need to select a paid plan.
After you get started with your free trial, there are a few things you can do next such as choosing a theme, adding your products and adding a custom domain. I would recommend checking out the following resources which will help you keep on track when setting up your store. If you have any questions after checking them out, just let me know!

Have you decided what kind of products you will be selling? If you don’t have your own products/suppliers and aren’t sure what to sell, then perhaps the dropshipping selling model would suit you. How that works is you would use suppliers in places like China to source products and add them to your store. When an order comes through to your store your suppliers would fulfill it on your behalf and ship direct to your customer. This reduces the start up costs and is a cheap/low risk way to start selling! Check out our ultimate guide to dropshipping here to learn more.
