How can I add a photo background to my email newsletter?

So as far as I can see, you can change the colour of your background by going to manage template branding.

You could do something like the black Friday email like shopify has and split it up section by section with the mid section of text that you want to include like this -

If you want to use background image for your email, then follow these steps

Upload your image on the Files page:

1. From your Shopify admin, go to Settings > Files.
2. Click Upload files.
3. Select the video to upload. Click Open.
4. Copy the URL of the file and store it somewhere
