I am trying to add a video file to my product page, however when viewing on mobile, I have to click 3 times on the play button for the video to start playing. I would like for the video to autoplay on all devices. Also, I would like to be able to add autoplay videos onto the homepage slide show. Thank you in advance.

But of course it should not take 3 clicks.

I think I’ve faced this problem before.
On mobile, a modal opener covers up the video, so it takes you to a popup before you can play it. By hiding this modal opener, you can reduce the steps.
You may need to go to the file that creates the media list, probably snippets > product-image.liquid (this may vary based on your theme), then, when the media type is a video:
