Hello,
I’d like to have your opinions and/or help on this idea.
Since I’m struggling to find good success on my store I thought of this:
What if I create a secondary landing page with a custom form filled with questions where the answers are images you have to select.
for example for clothes: What type of fittings do you prefer? --With all the fitting to select from and instead of having simple the fitting’s name there would be an image (baggy, 6pack show off, regular, etc)
What Colors do you prefer? --With a few images of color combinations instead of just the color’s name or dark or light.
This kind of interactive form which can be fun to fill and filled with puns.
So after 3 or 4 questions at most (it has to be short) it can list you all the perfect dress or shirts, as per your requirement and tastes with your size selected.
For the buyers who hate impulse buying this can be a better solution to convert them.
So that was the idea but I don’t know how to implement this. Is this a common idea if yes then is there an app for it? (that would be great)
Is it worth it to try a secondary landing page and do a weird A/B testing?
I’m open to suggestions.
Thanks a lot fellow tycoons
If you have the resources, manpower, and Money with capital M yes, if not NO leave A/B testing to serious matters before drilling down or going on tangents.
You’d described a fashion quiz, it’s not really a formalized thing so you’d have a ton of legwork to do
https://www.google.com/search?q=ecommerce+fashion+quiz, kinda like https://www.thisisaday.com/pages/aday-quiz
Not to be confused with a fashion wizard, or a product finder which are generally task focused.
Since I’m struggling to find good success on my store I thought of this:
That’s a warning sign, trying to innovate is one thing hoping to hit the right note to stay afloat is not healthy business practice.
Address the actual business problems or making a quiz can just be another time wasting distraction that suffers the same outcome from the same problems.

Thank you for your reply.
It’s doing ok for now, 1-2 sales/day. Average cart is 55€.
But I’ve seen a lot of people not following through with the payment process. (about 50% of initiated payments leave before completing the process). I have 0 control over the payment process since shopify doesn’t allow it.
I live in a country where paypal has a bad vibe and people are in general reluctant to purchase online.
The quizz is for the visitors via google who’ve come with a specific purpose and it would be beneficial for them to have the product perfectly suited for their needs as the answer.
I’ll look into these fashion wizards and see if there is one available for my needs as an app.
Thank you
Shopify is a literal billion dollar company that invests more in an optimized checkout experience that most small businesses are even worth, “control” of checkout is an ego trap without substantial investment.

If you can don’t target that country with your value , why fight an uphill battle without funding. That tends to not work out very well.

Why are they not able to land directly on the product page they care about., this is often the problem these types of features are trying to solve instead of fixing the actual problem.
If you can identify and solve the root problem that should be the focus.
The flip side of course are product builders.
Hey, for improving the conversions, have you considered having an automated chat assistant on your store that interacts with your customers 24/7.
Relish AI shopping assistant Is an app that helps automate your sales and customer support.
You can have quizzes or chat campaigns specific to the landing page from google or Facebook to improve the conversions. It also answers any product questions the users have based on the product page they are looking at. When you configure automated conversational FAQs you can also embed products as responses in any FAQ response.
The app also has a free trial. Please contact if you need any help in optimizing the app for your store.
There is nothing about having a big ego.
The shopify payment process is multiple clicks and no way to change it.
It’s optimized for English and the translations do not work correctly even when you change them in the liquid files.
And lastly the tracking is messed up, no way to install proper floodlights. Access to the thank you is restricted when so much depends on it.
How would I know what product my client is looking for before he’s told me anything about his requirements?
I can’t just randomly throw him on a product page and cross my fingers that it’s exactly what he is looking for.
The quiz is a way to know what he is looking for and show him the appropriate product.
it’s an uphill battle but I’d rather be ready when the newer generations starts making money instead of starting from 0 when everyone else is already half way there.
And I’ can’t target countries like US or UK because the transport cost alone would bury any chance of offering a good deal to any customers.
It’s a tough world and nothing comes easy. The point of this post was to find out if a solution existed as per my requirements or if I had to create one from scratch.
I’ve got my answer with the product quiz.
Thank you all.
