How can I create a discount for buying two different products?

Hi,

I was wondering how I could create a discount for a customer provided they buy product X and product Y but not multiple of one product?

Example: Product X sells for $10 and Product Y sells for $10. If a customer buys both Product X and Product Y they can get them for $18 ($2 discount). If they buy multiple of just one product they do not get the discount.

Is this possible as a discount or am I better off using a bundle app?

Thanks

Ian

Hi Ian

You should be able to set automatic discounts for different quantities of each product rather than just 1 of each. If you want to do preset combos and set prices so no need for discounts couple of things to consider.

1. Inventory Management

Our app lets you connect up your product to components and it then updates the inventory based on the component stock level. If there is not enough stock to make the combo then the product will go out of stock.

2. Order Fulfilment

When you sell one of the combos the stock level of the component SKUs won’t reduce automatically. What our app does is update the order post purchase by replacing the order line with the component SKUs as order lines which then reduces stock. This also lets you fulfil correctly as the component SKUs are now shown as orderlines.

If you need help in setting up and testing please get in touch. You can also find our guide here:

Hello @Adebim98 I cant see ‘Discounts’ in my settings menu. Similarly to Idh1909, I want to setup an offer where customers purchase two products for a discounted dollar amount. Eg two products cost $17 each but when two are purchased, the order is discounted to $30 with a code or automatically. Any advice would be much appreciated :slightly_smiling_face:
