How can I create a drop down menu in the Dawn theme footer?

Hello does anyone know how to change the footer menu to organised drop downs in the dawn theme? I have found a few threads with codes for this in the footer.liquid however none of these codes are working for me and assuming this is because these posts are old and I’m using the newest dawn theme?

I have organised my footer in the navigation with the heading and the subcategories below them but these don’t drop down on my footer. I add the codes and nothing happens. Does anyone have updated codes for this?

To solved. You need to familiar with code to customize and arrange them how to work on dropdown structure, and maybe use Js to make it work.

So if you not familiars with code, you can ask to developer help you make it.
