How can I create a vertical menu on my site without a paid theme?

Hello,

I am unable to figure out a way to make a vertical menu for my site, instead of the typical horizontal one. Nobody in the forums or online seems to have used a vertical menu style, so I am now looking for help here.

Below is what a sample of my website currently looks like. You can see the menu is horizontal going from (Logo>HOME>SHOP>ARCHIVE>CONTACT)

What I want is a menu like you see below. Where the menu elements stack vertically (they are individual buttons so they dont need dropdown functionality)

Can someone tell me if this is possible in Shopify without purchasing a paid Theme, and if possible tell me how to implement such a menu?

(For mobile users the menu would just turn into a pop-out menu ideally)

That depends on your theme. You can find themes with vertical menu design.

I found the Kingdom theme to have vertical menu design.

I apologize for not being clear enough. But I am looking for a solution other than buying a paid theme. With this updated criteria are there any other options?
