A merchant seeks to create product bundles (e.g., sweatpants + sweatshirt sold as one item) where inventory deducts separately for each component. The bundle should become unavailable if any component is out of stock.
Multiple app solutions were recommended:
BundleSync/Bundleup: Connects products to SKUs, updates bundle inventory based on component stock levels, and can unbundle orders post-purchase so component SKUs are fulfilled individually
Bundle Kit: Allows selling items as a single bundle while tracking individual SKUs/inventories; requires creating a dummy product in Shopify
Shopify’s native Bundles app: Calculates and syncs inventory for linked items without creating new products/variants
MultiVariants - Bulk order: Uses variant-level restrictions requiring customers to select both items, with separate inventory tracking
Bundler - Product Bundles: Confirmed as working solution by the original poster, praised for ease of use and customer support
The discussion remains open with ongoing recommendations. One user later confirmed successfully implementing Bundler for their bundle needs with discounted pricing.

Is there any app where I can make the bundle of two product and it deducts each of product from the inventory?
For Example: I make Bundle Product of sweatpants and sweatshirt. It appears on the store like one product but someone buys it and this app takes separately sweatpants and sweatshirt from the inventory.
And also when one product isn’t available (for example sweatshirt) then the whole bundle product isn’t available (whole sweat complet).
Or is there any way how to make this in shopify without an app?
It lets you connect up all your products to correct SKUs and we then update their inventory based on the component stock levels. So in your example if sweatpants product falls to zero the bundle will also show as out of stock.
We also have the additional option of unbundling orders made for a bundled product into the component SKUs post purchase. This way the order lines are only for components and can be fulfilled as per normal. The benefit of this is the component SKUs inventory is then also updated which then flows into your bundle stock level.
If you need assistance in setting up and testing please get in touch or check our guide:
Our app is capable of meeting your needs. You can sell the sweatpants and sweatshirts as a single item and our app will also be able to track the SKUs and inventories of each product from the bundle item.
To give you an idea, here’s a sample bundle product we have:
Bundles calculates and syncs the inventory for the items you link to each other with the app. Bundles does not create products or variants in your store.
If you want Shopify Fulfillment Network (SFN) to fulfill your bundles, and your products meet all the requirements, then you can set up a bundle in your SFN app. Products that are a part of bundles are stored separately in SFN and can also be sold as individual items. Ease of Use. With the app, you can create any amount of bundled products in split seconds. All you need to do is add the “grouping tag” to the main product and select the relevant associated items. That’s it!
MultiVariants - Bulk order apps can be a solution for you. Create your sweatpant and sweatshirt as variants in your Shopify. Then by using MultiVariants - The bulk order app applies restriction for per variant as 1. So that when your customer chooses a sweatpant he/she has to choose a sweatshirt too. You will get out of the stock badge when the product is stocked out. Both the variants will count as a separate product the way you want
The SKU comes from Shopify.
Along with that MultiVariants - Bulk order app also allows you to apply min/max order quantity, min/max order value, bundle quantity, incremental quantity, etc.
Please watch this Demo product. Here restrictions apply for each variant 12. So you will not be able to go to the cart without selecting 12 from each variant.
Hi Mykeen!
Curious with what your experience is with the option you choose. I’m looking to do the same.
eg I would like to offer a self care set at a price that would be less that each variant combined… but have Shopify manage the inventory accordingly if the set is purchased.
Yes, what you’re looking for can be done using a Bundle management app, and one app I’d highly recommend is Shopify product bundles. This app allows you to create custom bundles by combining multiple individual products (like your sweatpants and sweatshirt) while still tracking each item’s inventory separately.
