Dear Shopify,
Every month I download an export of the orders to use for several porposes. However, the export is usually a bit messed up due to the “Notes” section. Since the “Notes” section holds no information, I was wondering if we can customize the export and select only the data relevant for us?

The Shopify order CSV export cannot be customized. There are two options to get a customized export:
Use one of the reports under Analytics / Reports that allow customization. These can normally be exported.
Use a third-party app. There are many that allow customized exports.

If you’re open to using an app, our app EZ Exporter allows you to create custom CSV or Excel exports of your Shopify orders (you can create multiple templates).
You can select which specific fields you’d like to include in the export and schedule the export to run automatically as well.
