How can I customize the search bar in the Dawn theme?

Hi all. I am setting up my online store using the Dawn theme. I need some help customizing the search bar…

  1. I would like to move my search bar to sit on its own line above the header menu options, like REI’s search bar > https://www.rei.com/. Centered and on its own line.

  2. Is there a code to add a permanent text within the search bar, “search for great gear..”? like REI’s search bar > https://www.rei.com/

  3. How can I get this search bar to be visible and centered below my logo on the mobile view? Right now, my mobile view only has the search icon in the top right corner. You must click into it and then a search function appears. I would like the search bar to remain visible, no icon, on mobile view.
