I am wanting to delete the footer of my website or the white space beneath the home screen image so that said image is full bleed.
I would still like the Instagram icon and “copyright 2022, BrookesBooth” to remain but in white not black.
(This is only for the home screen page, every other page is fine as is).

Could you let us know which theme you are using on your online store? As this context will help determine the next steps to removing the footer section from the online store.
If you are unsure which theme is live on your store, you can navigate to the Theme Editor and select the three dots that are appearing towards the top left of the page. I took a screenshot from my test store to show you the section I am referring to:

In this case, looking into the Narrative theme it looks like removing the footer section from the online store is not available using the Theme Editor. However, you could make a change of coding that will remove the footer section from the online store to allow the image to display in your screenshot above. Since the Narrative theme is designed and supported by Shopify, we can use free design time for Shopify themes.
If you are interested in using the design time to make this change, you will need to login to your store using our Contact Us page. This will allow us to securely verify you as the store owner before speaking directly with a Support Advisor about the changes you would like to see.
