To have your normal price stay but have it crossed out with the discounted price showing, you may enter the initial price into the “Compare at price” box and enter the discounted price into “Price” on each product edit page from your Shopify admin.
To have the words either 30% off or sale on each product’s main photo, you may need a 3rd-party product label app. We have several recommendations for you:

That is a great question. As @AvadaCommerce mentioned, you would need to adjust your compare at price to the original price, and the price to the new discounted price. You can achieve this a few different ways.
If you only have a small number of products, you can change these prices manually one by one. Or, you can use the built in Bulk Editor. The Bulk Editor is an easy to use tool built directly into your Shopify Admin that allows you to adjust certain product settings in a spreadsheet format.
If you have a large catalog of products the above options could be too time consuming. Therefore, you could adjust your prices using a CSV document, or even an app. There are a few apps available, however the most popular option is Bulk Price Editor Pro.
When it comes to a product being labelled with “30 % off” or “sale” this would depend on your theme. Generally most themes display “sale” and cross the product off. Once you adjust your prices you can see what your theme’s built-in features are. If you want to change the verbiage of your theme, for example changing “sale” to “30% off”, you can do so in your theme’s language editor.
To change your theme’s verbiage, head to Online Store then select Actions > Edit Languages. Once here, search the term you which to change. In this case, “sale.” Next, adjust as necessary.
