Is there a way to show a discount in a product page (listing), instead of at checkout.

I understand that you’re looking to show a discount on the product page as opposed to the checkout. If you’re currently offering discounts using discount codes, then the sale price is only shown in the checkout after the discount code is entered or the customer’s cart meets the requirements for an automatic discount to be applied. However, if you only want to show the discount on the listing, then you can set up a compare at price for your products and/or variants. That being said, if you’re setting up sale prices and you were previously using discount codes, then you’ll also want to review your discount codes as the new listing price will be discounted so you may not want customers to use any existing discount codes and receive double discounts by accident.

You’re absolutely right @KateLane —Shopify’s native discount system applies the discount at checkout, but doesn’t show any indication of it on the product page unless you manually set a compare-at price or customize your theme.
