How can I fix tax overrides not charging out of state customers?

My shop is not charging tax to my out of state customers. I have tried following the directions to change the tax override but it says to go to products then collections and then to select manual, but I do not have an option to select manual. Is there another way to change these tax overrides?

  1. Verify your tax settings: Make sure that your tax settings are configured correctly. To do this, go to your Shopify admin dashboard and click on “Settings” > “Taxes”. Check that the tax rates are set up correctly for your location and that the correct tax exemptions are applied for out-of-state customers.

  2. Check your product tax settings: Make sure that your products are set up correctly for tax exemptions. To do this, go to your product settings and make sure that the “Charge taxes” checkbox is unchecked for products that should be exempt from taxes.

  3. Use a third-party tax app: If you’re still having trouble with your tax settings, consider using a third-party tax app. There are many tax apps available in the Shopify App Store that can help you manage your tax settings, including tax overrides for out-of-state customers.

  4. Contact Shopify support: If none of the above solutions work, you can contact Shopify support for further assistance. They can help you troubleshoot the issue and provide guidance on how to configure your tax settings correctly.

I hope this helps!
