How can I have a separate menu for one page only?

Hi all. I have a page in my Shopify store that I want to have a separate menu for. I’ve created this page with its own customized template, and also created a special menu just for use on that page. But when I edit that specific template, and choose that specific menu, it affects ALL of my pages, not just that one, even though my other pages are using different templates. I don’t know if it helps, but to give you all the details, the page in question is set to ‘hidden’ because I want to make it only accessible by way of a special URL and not accessible from the other pages (it’s for visitors to enter their email address so that they can receive a link for a downloadable PDF and a discount to products on my store). The page is also currently in ‘draft’ (at the suggestion of the Shopify AI assistant). The only menu item I want is ‘Contact Me’, or maybe nothing at all. The main menu for the rest of my pages consists of ‘Home’ and three other options. So, how can I have one menu that ONLY shows on that one page, but have the other pages show a different menu?

Hello @freddybear

Please send me your store URL and password, so I can check it and update you.

Hi @freddybear For an actual separate menu systems that is an advanced theme customization, using an alternate layout, and or duplicating the navigation/header/masthead so it can have it’s own unique settings for only that layout.

If that’s all that comes down and the rest of the description is noise then custom css can be used to hide the other menu-items on that page.

Exact code varies wildly among theme but there are plenty of existing posts on hiding menus/menu-items for themes found through basic research on the forums, such as for “dawn” theme https://community.shopify.com/c/forums/searchpage/tab/message?filter=location&q=dawn%20hide%20menu&noSynonym=false&location=category:shopify-discussion&collapse_discussion=true

Thanks, Paul. I figured it was better to give as much information as I could - maybe it was leaning on verbose, but certainly not lacking in detail or information! Thank you for your response. I’m just trying to tie things up in one neat Shopify package, rather than have multiple sites and servers involved.
