Hi folks,
I am quite new to Shopify and have managed to set up the store on my own so far. Though all is well, I noticed my speed score has gradually reduced from a rating of 60s to now 31. Would anyone of you be able to assist me with improving the speed?
Thanks,
Kavi
Hi @Kavia11 ,
Hyde here from Shopify.
Welcome to the platform!
Your page speed score begins to drop when the site has a lot of information to load up. In other words, if you’ve added a lot of apps that are injecting javascript into the storefront, that will slow things down. So too will images that are larger than advised for your theme. Take a look at our guide for optimizing your store for speed. Here are the factors that you can control. And here are some factors that you can’t.
I hope that helps! Let me know if you have any other questions.
All the best, Hyde.
