How can I improve my website after Google Merchant Account suspension?

I keep getting the message that my Google Merchant Account is Suspended. It says my website needs improvement. Any suggestions?

Hi, @Chrishanda .

Thank you for reaching out!

Did Google provide you with a list of website requirements for your Google Merchant account to become live? Usually, Google will require specific things to be added to your store, such as store policies like shipping policies, refund policies, terms and service agreements, and contact information. I would check your inbox to see if you received any information from Google regarding this, and if not, I would try to research what Google’s requirements are or try to reach out to their customer support team.

Please let me know if you have any further questions! If you would like to provide your URL, I would be happy to look at your store for you and offer any feedback I may have.

Talk soon,

When Google indicates that your website needs improvements, this usually means that you either have copied text, make sure your text on all pages are somewhat original.

That your images are placeholders.

Your landing page layout does not follow the requirements: https://support.google.com/merchants/answer/4752265?hl=en

Missing links in the footer such as, privacy policy, returns and refund, terms and condition, shopping, and contact links.

It could also be that you have popups that block the content.

It can be a lot of things.

I recommend having a read here: https://community.shopify.com/c/Ecommerce-Marketing/Checklist-Suspended-Google-Merchant-Center-Account-Fix-amp/m-p/1086444/highlight/true#M39128

Google has automated filters that can suspend accounts for no apparent reason, for policy violations, or for trivial reasons. For example, we had our account suspended because the automated filter could not detect the company address we had displayed on the website and required the address to be displayed on the contact form instead, an easy thing to correct. You need to go into your Merchant Account and see what the reason for the suspension is, try to correct the error and then contact support to request Google to unblock the account.

Thanks Emily I have read over everything and I believed it’s fixed but it keeps coming back as not right.

When you have a blank, anonymous site like yours with zero public contact details, no address, no phone, no email for buyers to see - Google ads will block you as a potentially fraudulent site. Also, you lack sufficient product details. There is no descriptions, nothing about the materials, nothing as to what makes them interesting, no measurements etc.

I think you will have a difficult time finding buyers due to the minimalist content of your website.

@Chrishanda if you checked my checklist you would have fixed a lot of issues.

For example missing contact link in the footer

For example, missing shopping policy in the footer

For example add more contact methods on your contact page, such as address, phone number etc.
