I currently have a Shopify plan and pay the monthly due, but recently got help from an ecomm source that built website for me for Shopify, question is, how do I integrate the new one into my existing account without getting billed for a new account?
Not sure I understand what you mean by ‘built website for me for Shopify’? Do you mean the built a Shopify template for you? If so then you import it into the template section under Online Store.
Hi, @Robin52 .
Thanks for posting your question here.
In order to gain more insight, are you able to provide some additional information?
Could you clarify if you had a Shopify website built for you and you’re looking to integrate it into your existing account? Or, are you referring to having a Shopify theme built for you and you’d like to integrate the theme into your new store?
If it’s related to integrating the new store into your current store, I recommend exploring the following options.
- There are several third-party apps in the Shopify App Store you can use to help you transfer data between stores. Some options include: Matrixify, Cart2Cart Store Migration, and LitExtension Store Migration just to name a few. Feel free to browse additional store migration apps in the Shopify App Store to find which ones best suit your business needs.
- Another option is exporting and importing your store data manually. If you only need to transfer a small amount of data, (such as products, orders, customers, order transaction history, and product reviews) you can export the data from your new store and import it into your current store manually. This can be achieved using a CSV file to export and import your store’s data.
Once you’ve transferred over your store’s data into your existing account, you can follow the steps to cancel your subscription and deactivate your Shopify store (on the store which you no longer intend to use.)
If you’re looking to upload a theme into your existing store, you can follow the steps to upload a theme file from your computer. Before you upload, make sure that your theme files are compressed into a single ZIP file.
I hope this helps!
