How can I label products as 'Sold Out' and 'Coming Soon' simultaneously?

Hello,

I have some products I would like to be labelled as SOLD OUT and others I would like to be labelled as COMING SOON. Other threads recommend changing the sold out code to COMING SOON however this does not work when I want to use both labels.

Appreciate any advice on how I can achieve this. I want to keep all products on the shop page, I do not want to create a seperate page for COMING SOON products.

Hi Sarah,

For sold-out, you can just make the stock zero and see if that helps. Did you solve the coming soon issue?

Hi Ravi,

I can make products come up as ‘sold out’ but what I can’t seem to do is simultaneously have different products come up as ‘coming soon’.

Please check out the Pre Order Now App. I guess it is a paid app and has
a trial . I haven’t used it. See if that helps.

You can use an app to set up pre-orders. Let me know if you need recommendations on that. But they do have a cost. If you want to do it natively in your theme, there is code you can write to distinguish whether to show the COMING SOON label vs. the SOLD OUT label based on a metafield that you set or a tag that you set. Can’t you just create 2 separate product templates from visual editor and assign them respectively to products, tell me if you need any further help.
