How can I make a 3D product model customizable?

Hey guys,

what is the best way to make a 3D product model customizable?

Is there a native way or do you recommend any specific apps? Make open source apps?

I don’t want to create the model, I want to display the model on the screen, so that the user can interactively work with the model and change it’s colors etc.
