How can I make products appear on specific pages in my online store?

Hi,

I was wondering if anyone could help me with an issue I am having. Every time I add a product to my Shopify store it doesn’t actually show up on my product pages. How do get my products to show up on specific pages? Such as, dresses to show up on my dresses page, tops to show up on my tops page, accessories to show up on my accessories page…etc.

Is the product published? Is the product added to those collections?

Seeing some screenshots (showing the item is published, and is in a collection) and example links (to a collection that should have the product, and a link to the product itself) would help the forum members offer you some tips or advice.

I’m happy to help. From what you’re describing, it sounds like you’ll want to utilize Collections. You can group your products into collections to make it easier for customers to find them by category. As you mentioned, you can create a collections for dresses, tops, accessories, and more.

You can create Automated collections and/or Manual collections.

  • An automated collection uses selection conditions to automatically include matching products. You can add up to 60 selection conditions, and you can specify whether products need to meet all conditions or any condition to be included in the collection.
  • A manual collection includes the specific products that you choose. The collection will always contain the same products unless you add or remove them.

When you add a new product to your store, you will want to ensure it is added to the corresponding collection, either by manually adding it to a collection, or by putting the specified conditions for an automated collection.

Once you have the collections you want with the right products in them, you can add links to your collections in your navigation.
