Hi @scokat
This is PageFly - Free Landing Page Builder. How have you been?
As we have more experience in conversion rate optimization, it’d be better to provide some suggestions to help improve online customer experience. It is, indeed, a result-proven technique for anyone looking for a sales-driving solution. Let’s take a look at your online store and start with the very basics.
HOMEPAGE
My first impression when visiting your store as a prospect is “confused”. There is no introduction, no information and nothing clickable. Therefore, I’d highly recommend you to fix these things below as soon as possible.
1. Change the format of navigation bar
Hamburger menu is best used for mobile as it saves the room for other content on such a small screen. However, on such a large screen, for example a 4K desktop, a hamburger menu is not 100% appropriate.
Instead, we should showcase the menu clearly as a direction for customers to approach and explore the store more confidently.
2. Make the menu sticky
Once you have done with the 1st step, make the navigation content accessible, let’s move on to making the navigation bar sticky.
This helps increase customer experience because it won’t “force” visitors to scroll back and forth whenever they want to reach to a different distination page. Very convenient right?
3. Invest in a bespoke banner
When we say “bespoke”, we mean a well-designed and exclusive content that is made specifically for your brand only. Competition is harsh and customers are busy, you only get 5 sec to introduce yourself and interest them enough to keep scrolling. Therefore, I’d recommend you to
Show your brand name & logo at the very beginning
Avoid using the same color set of the logo for the banner as doing so will make the logo become hidden.
Use your own designed/photoshoot images and try to stay away from crashed, broken stock images
Make sure they have a standard quality. I won’t say it should have the best image quality because (1) it’s not that much different between 1920 or 2000 pixels (2) having too many high quality images might cause heavier page weight and slower page speed.
Test different formats to check which one works best for your brand. For the first section of homepage, 3 common practices are slideshows - background video and text overlay images.
A primary call to action button is one of the important things for a home page of an online store.
With this button, you will redirect customers to the page you want them to take action mostly. It can redirect to a collection page, or a product page, etc.
A carefully crafted and authentic piece of content will never fail to engage with your audience.
5. Add testimonial - customer reviews
Customer reviews are proof of your product quality. This section will help you build customers’ trust. You can show rating stars for each product or you can add customer reviews as text and photos.
COLLECTION PAGE
1. Have secondary hover images for the product list
By presenting secondary hover images, customers can easily scan many products to see extra visual information.
2. Using the Load more button instead of pagination
By using the Load more button, customers can compare products loading on one page. This helps to create a constant buying experience for customers
3. Add average ratings for each product
You should include both the user rating average and number of ratings on the product list items. This is one of the crucial elements for users’ purchasing decisions. They will rely on both to decide whether they should explore further a product.
That’s everything for today. Hope it is somewhat helpful for you.
