Hi, @sylvietn !

My name is Lilith, I’m on the Social Care team at Shopify.

At first glance, your theme looks very similar to the Debut theme. That said, many themes have this feature available. The solution below will be a good reference even if you don’t have the Debut theme.

You can remove them in the Theme Editor.

You do not need to code or have any code skills for this at all:

1. Go to Online Store > Themes

2. Click on Customize for this theme you want to change.

3. In the dropdown menu at the top, select Collections > Default Collection

4. On the left side select Collection pages.

5. Uncheck the boxes called “Enable sorting” and “Enable tag filtering”.

6. Save

Because you’re removing sorting and filtering of your products, make sure that you gather them into collections that will help your customers navigate the site better.

The easier they can find the products on your site the quicker you can see conversions. Try to use your menu as a primary tool to help your customers find what they want. Use dropdowns and links to all collections to ensure they don’t miss anything.

Another tip to help when customers don’t have filtering or sorting is to make your collections small enough to quickly scroll through on mobile devices and don’t require multiple pages. Of course, each business is different and different types of products will be better in larger collections. Keep your visitors in mind. Higher conversions will always be a benefit of them finding the product easily and with fewer clicks or scrolls.

Think of your collections and navigation menu as a funnel to the checkout. Keep the customer experience seamless and easy.

Let me know how you do with the information above! I’m happy to answer any questions you think of as you work on your business.
