How can I reset the order count on my dashboard?

How do I reset the order count next to Orders on my dashboard? The count just increases, even though I have fulfilled and archived all orders. Sometimes it will go down 1 or 2, but I have no idea how. I have tried archiving draft orders and abandoned carts and it doesn’t change anything. How do I get the order count down to 0?

Agreed. It has been an issue since at least 2020. It would be helpful if @Shopify_77 could help us reset this because it looks like there are outstanding orders.
