Guys, I can’t Configure my store to sell my products on Facebook and Instagram.
it says: “You must have administrator access to the associated company to complete the setup
This Shopify store already has a catalog, which belongs to a business account. To continue, contact an administrator of the associated business account and ask them to give you access.”
I see you’re trying to set up your Shopify store to sell on Facebook and Instagram, but you’re running into an issue with business account permissions. This error usually happens when:
You don’t have admin access to the Facebook Business Manager linked to your store. Your Shopify store is already connected to a different Business Manager account.
Steps to Fix the Issue#### 1. Check Your Business Manager Admin Access
If you are listed as an Admin (not just an Employee) under Users > People.
If the Commerce Account and Shop are assigned to you under Accounts > Commerce Accounts.
If you aren’t an admin, ask the current admin to give you full access or disconnect the catalog so you can reconnect it.
2. Verify Your Shopify-Facebook Connection
In Shopify, go to: Settings > Apps and Sales Channels > Facebook & Instagram Check which Facebook Business Manager is linked. If it’s not the right one, you may need to disconnect and reconnect the integration.
3. Reset and Reconnect Your Facebook Integration
If you’re still stuck:
Remove the Current Connection
Go to Facebook Business Manager > Data Sources > Catalogs
Find the catalog linked to Shopify and remove it.
Disconnect Shopify from Facebook
In Shopify, go to Settings > Apps and Sales Channels > Facebook & Instagram
Click Disconnect to remove the integration.
Reconnect Facebook & Instagram in Shopify
In Shopify, go to Sales Channels > Facebook & Instagram
Click Start Setup and make sure you log in to Facebook with the correct Business Manager that you have admin access to.
Extra Tips
Use the same Facebook account across Shopify and Business Manager. Make sure your Facebook Page, Instagram Account, and Catalog are all connected under the same Business Manager. If you’ve tried everything and it still doesn’t work, clear your browser cache or try a different browser before reconnecting.
