How can I update my EIN on my ecommerce platform?

Hello , I just got my EIN and I want to update it on shopify .. is there any way I can do that?

Great question. If you are using Shopify Payments and need to update the tax information we have on file for your account (such as your EIN) you will need to get in touch with us directly through the Help Center. We’re available 24/7 via live chat, email, or callback.

In order to make the process quicker, you can ensure you have the following information and are following the correct guidelines:

  • The request is coming from the current account owner (staff members cannot make changes to the Shopify Payments account).
  • The reason for the change (for example, registering in a new state, changing the name of your business, etc.)
