How can I use Amazon MCF for fulfilling my Shopify orders?

Hello,

I’m primarily an Amazon seller who joined Shopify to grow my brand outside of Amazon.
Currently all my products are fulfilled using Amazon FBA.

I would like to be able to fulfill my Shopify orders using Amazon MCF (Multi-Channel Fulfillment). I’ve read what feels like 100 articles and have spent hours trying to figure it out to no avail.

The issue is that I’m not being given the option to choose Amazon Web Market to fulfill. It only provides a drop down for Shopify or Oberlo (which I don’t use).

Is there any reason I am unable to toggle from Shopify to Amazon Web Market for fulfillment?

-I downloaded the Amazon App on Shopify.

-I updated the shipment settings.

-matched SKU’s from Amazon to Shopify.

-matched weight of SKU’s.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Happy holidays!

There are 2 different Amazon connections, I think you might have installed the “channel” rather than the “fulfillment service”.

Here are the exact steps to set up Amazon fulfillment with Shopify and automate it: https://speedboostr.com/automate-order-fulfillment-on-shopify.

You don’t need to read article #101, just search for “Connect Shopify’s built in FBA service”, or even quicker if you don’t need an explanation just go to https://www.shopify.com/admin/fulfillment_services/signup_for_mws.

That will get you the FBA integration with Shopify and enable you to assign products to Amazon Marketplace Web.

@JoesIdeas Thank you very much for your help! This was exactly the issue! I thought I was going nuts.

I sell other unrelated products that have nothing to do with my Shopify store and those orders kept importing into Shopify which was super confusing too.

If I select Amazon Web Marketplace, does that mean I have to fulfill through MCF, or can I self fulfill as well? The real reason I’m asking is because I’d also like to sell on Walmart Marketplace and I believe it’s a big no-no to fulfill Walmart orders with Amazon MCF.

You’re welcome.

It’s a little tricky with the Amazon Marketplace Web. If the request fails (like if it’s an order outside of your Amazon marketplace), then you can self fulfill. But other wise, when you go to fulfill, it will request the fulfillment via Amazon since it’s connected.

I’m not sure if there’s a way around that, but you never know maybe Shopify opened that up since last time I investigated it, you could give it a try if you want and just cancel the MCF request if it still goes through.

I’ve read and heard about people fulfilling Walmart through Amazon, but I haven’t sold on Walmart so can’t advise on that. I would reach out to your Walmart support rep and ask them if it’s ok. If it is, then easy you’re all set. If not, hmmm not sure on that haha.
