How did I obtain unplaced order customer data?

Hi everyone,

I recently went to create a 10% discount for a few customers, but when I clicked on the “Customers” tab, there were names and email addresses of people who haven’t ever placed an order. How did I get this information?

It might be people who are filling in their information to check the shipping costs, but I’m not sure.

Hi @Chloe_Mae ,

A customer profile is created when a customer interacts with your website by doing any of the following:

  • signing up for your mailing list or a customer account
  • placing an order
  • starting an order, but abandoning their checkout

Alternatively, you can add a customer to your store manually.

Technically they’re not all customers, which makes it a bit confusing. What @AvadaCommerce said is right.
