How do I change the Welcome email that is sent to users who create a new account?

Hi, when a new user creates an account, Shopify automatically sends them a welcome email that is very plain and unappealing. Where do I go to change the way the welcome email looks when a user creates an account? (this is different from when they subscribe to newsletters).

Ivy here from Shopify.

This email, along with all others sent from your store, can be edited from your admin. You can do things like change the wording used, add logo and edit the colors/font etc. To carry out this edit, the steps are:

  1. From your Shopify admin, go to Settings > Notifications
  2. Click the name of the notification that you want to change - in your case, the email is called “Customer Account Welcome”
  3. Edit the Email subject field and the body of the email message.
  4. Click Save once you’ve made the desired changes.

After you’ve customized a notification template, you can preview the changes in the Shopify admin by clicking Actions > Preview in the top right hand corner of the page. This will display the changes you have made, exactly as your customers will see it. A full guide on notification email editing can be found here.
