@William96 , it depends on the combination rules set on the discounts generated by the Loyalty app that you are using.
Both the discounts generated by the app as well as your Shopify discounts should be set to combine with each other to ensure that it works at checkout.
This is where store credit based loyalty programs differ - as they work with any discounts setup on your store, no combination rules needed.

But if you use apps like Smile.io or Rise.ai to convert points into store credit or gift cards, then they can be combined with discount codes.

Hey @William96 ! This is a common roadblock. Shopify only allows one discount code per checkout, which means if your loyalty program rewards customers with a discount code (like $5 off), they won’t be able to stack it with another promo code you’re running.
There are some workarounds depending on the app you’re using. For example, our merchants are using Loloyal for their stores, and one thing I like is that it lets you create different types of rewards, not just discount codes. You can offer things like free shipping, free gifts, or point-based perks that don’t require a code, so customers still feel like they’re getting value even if stacking isn’t possible.
Another option I’ve tried during sales is offering double points instead of extra discount codes. That way, customers get more rewards now and can redeem later when they’re not using a promo code.
It’s not perfect, but with the right setup you can still give a great experience without needing to stack codes.

You can use the Love Loyalty Rewards & Points app to let customers combine loyalty-point rewards with other Shopify discounts.
In the Love Loyalty admin, open each reward and enable the option to combine its discount code with other discounts. To make sure the reward can be combined with other discounts, both the reward and the other discount need to be set to combine in Shopify. When both discount codes are set to combine, customers can apply them on the same order. These settings determine whether a customer can use a free shipping/product discount/order discount code together with a loyalty reward code.
