Goal: show a hamburger (drawer) menu on desktop in the Palo Santo Shopify theme instead of inline links (Home, Catalog). The attached images illustrate the desired mobile-style hamburger vs. the current desktop menu.
What was tried: the header settings in Theme Customization were checked. Selecting the “drawer” option did not change the desktop menu behavior, and there is no visible option to force the hamburger on desktop. (“Drawer” = a slide-out navigation opened by a hamburger icon.)
Guidance received: if the theme settings don’t provide this, it likely requires code changes in the theme to enable the drawer on desktop. Seeking a developer’s help was recommended.
Status: no fix implemented yet; issue remains open. Next step is a code review/modification of the header/navigation to force drawer behavior on desktop. Open questions: which files/sections to edit and the exact code changes needed were not provided in the thread.
How do I make the hamburger menu appear for the desktop view? Right now it’s only visible for mobile. See photos below.
In the first image below, the 2 pages (home, catalog) are linked below. But in the first image, it’s not there and instead there’s the hamburger menu, which is what I want.
I am using the Palo Santo theme

Can you please header section settings in Theme Customization. If the option is not given then it can be setup with some code alter in theme. So you can seek help from a developer to setup this for you.

There isnt an option, i select “drawer” option, but it still doesn’t change it unfortunately.
Then the code needs to be lookup and fixed.
