You do not need to see your ads. If you go to your performance max campaign, then select asset groups > in your asset group on the right, you have a link labeled view details. Click on this, and now you can see which assets you added has low performance. If you do, then change it up, to see what works. Do make sure to have your ads collect data, as you need data to see how to improve your assets.
I would avoid searching for your own ads, as there are so many ad formats, that you will make incorrect decisions based on this. Instead use it only as reference or to see what competitors are doing.
