How does a customer get his product?

Hi @ezerov

I can see that some of our partners have shared information on the basics of how to source and fulfill products, but I wanted to add a bit more detail for you.

You first need to figure out where you want to get your products from and if you are storing/shipping the items yourself, using a print on demand service or a dropshipping service.

Print on Demand = Using a supplier like Printify: Print on Demand or CustomCat ‑ Print‑On‑Demand to create products with your own designs/images/logos on it. They will create the product and ship it to the customer on your behalf. Popular items are t-shirts, bags, wall prints, etc.

Dropshipping = Dropshipping is where you connect with a supplier or vendor, usually through a marketplace like Aliexpress. Using an app you can import their products into your store and when a customer places the order on your store, the request to fulfill the order is then sent through the app to the supplier. The supplier then packages and ships the product to the customer on your behalf.

You can review apps for both Print on Demand (POD) or Dropshipping in our app store here: Product Sourcing Apps on Shopify.

We also have this newly updated blog post about starting a dropshipping business: The Ultimate Guide To Dropshipping (2023) - Shopify Canada. It has a lot of great information for new merchants!
