How does shopify calculate the Total Sales figure shown on dash board compared to the analytic

Hi,

We pull all our clients orders down via the dashboard and do monthly reporting.

We pull these reports at the start of the next month, e.g. we pull April’s at the start of May.

We process our reports based on total_price for an order and only process the clients required channels.

To Keep it simple in this example (Web)

So for this client… The dashboard on the right shows

Total sales breakdown

1 Apr–30

Orders £51,871.51
Returns -£5,697.03
Total sales £46,174.48

431 Orders

The Analytics shows

Which I can’t see how Online Store equals the front page figure

And when I download and process all the orders from the system .. I see…

source Date Total Price Orderers Orders
shopify_draft_order 2023-04 613.32 6 7
web 2023-04 51934.91 404 434

So I have discrepancies everywhere?

I have 3 extra orders?

I look at the created_at field for processing orders?

If someone could point me the right direction on why none of this matches it would be very helpful.

Thanks

Phil
