How does Shopify report sales, taxes, fees, and payments?

New to Shopify - Looking for one report that shows sales breakdown between products, sales tax, total shipping costs, total Shopify fees, total Paypal payments and total Shopify payments.

Also how does Shopify determine date range of payouts. By calendar or sales threshold?

Please help - totally confused.

As far as the data reports that come built into Shopify, there are a wide variety of options for you to choose from. Depending upon which plan you are subscribed to, you will see various different report options available to you.

Our most Basic Plan offers a robust range of solutions, most notably our Finance reports for your needs. Based on what you described, I recommend using a combination of the Total Sales report and Payments report, both which fall under the Finance reports category.

Follow the steps below to view the Finances summary page and access these options.

Steps:1. From your Shopify admin, go to Analytics > Reports.

  1. Click Categories.
  2. Select Finances to filter the reports to show only finances reports.
  3. In the Name column, click the Summary report.
  4. Optional: Select a channel and choose a date range.

As far as your second question, if you are using Shopify Payments then payouts occur based on calendar days and varies based on country, but you can also schedule payout days. Read more about your options and how to view this information for your store at this link.
