How safe is it to give Fiverr freelancers Facebook ad permissions?

Hello everyone,

I’ve recently hired a freelancer from fiver to conduct a Facebook ad traffic campaign. He is requesting permission to “Preferences” in order to connect pixel. Is there anyway to grant this without giving him access to payment, shipping etc.

Also this got me thinking of what other permissions I should be cautious of allowing, I’m new to this and admittedly skeptical. He requested access to my domain host due to “new Facebook policy” has anyone heard something like that? This freelancer has great reviews and hasn’t done anything to make me doubt him, although when he started asking for admin access to various things such as Facebook Ad and Business Manager I was hesitant.

It’d be great to get some advice from veterans in the community!

Anything helps thank you all!

Hello, I am here looking for the same advice. I have hired Fiverr people in the past and have always been skeptical about them inserting a trojan horse virus in my store. I wish Shopify had some way to track exactly what other permitted users are doing or have a log of some sort of save or recovery point. Kinda like a video game in case something bad happened you could always go back to the way it was. There is a way to make a copy of a theme but I wish it was a little more detailed with the save points. Please let us know if you find out anything.
