I would like to add a 3 minute video to a page in Shopify Debut theme. The topic of the page & the video is how my product works. Text is the only other element on the page. I do not want the video to play automatically. I want the user to activate a play button to play the video if they want to see it. The video started as an mp4 file. It is now a .prel file after I edited it in Adobe Premier Elements.
Can I just upload the file from my computer to the Shopify page? Or do I need to put the video on YouTube or Vimeo first & then link to Shopify page?
Does the format of the video file matter? Should I save the final edited version as an .mp4 or some other format before adding it to the page?
Does adding audio to the video create any problems? Does adding text (“Do This”; Do That") to parts of the video create problems?
