How to advertise only popular products on Google Feed?

Hi There,

We have the google/you tube sales channel set up and it runs fine. I would like to be able to create campaigns that only advertise our most popular products to maximize our add spend to those products rather than out entire feed. How is the best way to do this? I have tried on the Google merchant center, and most of the apps I have found appear to be for connecting your entire feed, which we already have successfully connected. Suggestions?

There are several ways you can move forward.

  1. Unpublish the products you don’t want to advertise in the app > manage products.

  2. use excluded destination attribute: https://support.google.com/merchants/answer/6324486

Which you can apply using rules: https://support.google.com/merchants/answer/7450276?hl=en

Or supplement feed: https://support.google.com/merchants/answer/7439058?hl=en

  1. You can subdivide your products in the campaign, using brand, category, product type, custom labels or even item id. Then simply include only the ones you want, and exlclude everything else.

As you can see, many ways to achieve the same end result.

Hi @thebacchus

The earlier answer shared the different ways you can achieve desired results. However, I suggest an alternative app that can automate a lot of your tasks for managing the Google merchant center. You can use our app, Nabu for Google Shopping; we can help you quickly filter out the products you do not wish to advertise.
