Hello, I’m trying to make this variant apply to all of my products within a particular collection and I do not want there to be any options to choose the variant I just want it to automatically apply to those products. Here are a few images showing what I mean on another website. I want the “Warranty: Lifetime”
There are two options, either you can use metafiled or use an app.
Can i get help using metafields?
It’s a lengthy process, so it’s recommended to hire a dev. As you need to deal with metafiled and liquid.
I can get it to show up but it seems to be a varient of the product or something because I want it to show up in the cart and at checkout
If you don’t pass this text as variant, you won’t get it on cart and checkout. Here is the tricky part. That’s why here you need to show the variant using JavaScript. Because it parses the variant as html.
Is it possible to have the variety show up but not have it affect the rest of my store adding more scews because the only option I want is Lifetime Warranty on all of my products? If I make the metafield a single line text am I able to code that as a varient when people add it to the cart?

I got it what you mean by that. As you can see the product title and price goes to checkout, likewise we can send a info there.
Hi @tacomaforce use Line item properties with alternate templates if you do not need to change the price of the line item, LIP’s can apply to any item in the cart without creating extra variants and will show in checkout , the order admin and in email-notifications.
Use the following in a OS2.0 theme setting block on the product template, such as dawn,
You will need to give the a form attribute whose value matches the main buy-button form id on the product page
Then create alt template to assign the behavior to specific products
