Good morning (South African Time) Dirk,

My stores link is above. Please have a look and do give me your opinion of how I can make changes etc. It is still early days but with perseverance I will eventually get there.

Please take a look and give advice where you can.

Waiting to hear from you.

Thanks

Hey @Tshepo2 .

Here are a few suggestions that I have for you on how you can improve the overall look of your store. When it comes to selling products that are across different industries (fashion, electronics, home & garden), you want to think long and hard about what type of audience you want to attract (age, gender, interests). From there, you can lay down the groundwork for creating a reputable and attractive brand for your ideal audience.

If you are unsure what exactly the definition of a brand is or how you can build a brand from scratch, this article is a must. It is going to teach you how to build your own brand in 7 actionable steps.

Setting aside an afternoon or evening to jot down some high-level details on this subject will go a long way. It will help you create a blueprint that will ultimately drive all your future business decisions.

Once you feel like you have clearly defined your brand goals - I recommend checking out this article called “What is a Buyer Persona”. This will allow you to portray your brand in a way that resonates with your ideal audience. This will entice them to buy from your business. This is another exercise that if you just take a few hours out of your time to commit to, it’s going to be extremely helpful.

Once that gets taken care of, you can begin analyzing your website’s functionality, design, and discoverability (SEO, advertising, etc) to make the experience better for your visitors. You can take what you’ve learned in the previous 2 exercises to help drive these decisions. I recommend checking out our Shopify design articles to get inspiration and ideas on how to build a great-looking webpage with Shopify. Homepage Design 101 is a recommended resource to check out!

If there is anything else I can help you with, please let me know.

Good evening Dirk,

It’s been almost a month we last communicated. I have redone my website and made it user friendly as much as I can. I recently had a lot of “traffic” via Google Ads and what struck me was that there was no conversion to purchasing so to say. I am asking you to look at my site once again and see where I might be getting it wrong. My target niche are men between the ages 30 till 75 basically someone old enough to be referred to by someone as DAD. I tried to cover general interests like gardening, outdoors, fashion, sports etc. Look at my landing page and see if there is something that I can twick so to say to make it friendly and not to clog it with information that might be irrelevant. My goal is to get conversions from landing to buying and signing out so to say. I would appreciate your input into where I might be getting it wrong and to point me in the right direction. I will be going live on you tube this coming Thursday/Friday to personally engage with potential customers. I await your feedback. https://incredibleDAD.myshopify.com
